Taylor
Taylor Swift, the rarest pop star, is one who managed to move over from country music to mainstream pop culture and become an idol of the world of pop. She also conquered every continent through her music. Swift removed herself from country music like a second-skin and showed she had the finest pop sensibility of her generation. Swift was the only artist/singer who could take the popular zeitgeist when she went on tour. This was evident in her early hits including the Neo-tribute Tim McGraw but her second album, 2008's Fearless showcased a songwriter discovering the person she really was, and in the process finding the mass market. Fearless had a great success not only in the United States, having six platinum-certified songs. The Top Ten songs Love Story & I Belong with Me were the primary reasons behind this. But, it also did well all over the world. Swift managed to build upon her success through Speak Now almost two year later. The next three albums she released, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017), Swift's popularity grew and she found herself in the world of pop music in which it became clear she deserved to be. It was not long before she changed her strategy by releasing 2020's streamlined folklore (and Evermore) and stayed atop of the pop world.
