Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She's co-founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global, as well as the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is an writer, journalist, TV host and the owner of The Huffington Post. Born in Greece and moved to England at age 16. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA of Economics. As the first non-English speaking student to graduate, she was elected President of The Cambridge Union' at age 21. Her popularity as a conservative columnist was consolidated after she completed her studies. When the Huffington Post was launched The Huffington Post a few year later, she established an online voice portal that offered an honest assessment of the current state of the nation's politics. The fame of Arianna helped to attract several prominent contributors to share their views on current events political, culture and politics. Arianna became famous after she decided to become an Independent candidate for the California Recall Election in order to succeed the former governor Davis. She also headed a Detroit fuel-efficient car project. Her name was voted as the most influential women in media by Forbes in 2009, gaining the 12th place in this list. In the same year Guardian included her in the top 100 media list. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post, and she was named president of this media group. It included a variety of AOL properties at that time, including Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is a daughter born to Konstantinos a management advisor and a journalist. The way she lived her life was determined by the closeness she had to her mother, and the bond she shared with her dad, despite being extremely close to him. Even as a young girl she demonstrated leadership skills that she's still known for. At 16 years of age she moved back to United Kingdom to pursue her study and then enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. In her time at college, she joined the debating group Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign president and was also the third female president. The year 1972 was the year her master's in Economics was conferred. After her graduation, she became an editor of the critic's column and a television host. Also, with Bernard Levin she appeared on an episode of Face the music.
