Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles to a middle-class family. She grew up with big dreams. Her best roles include the film about spying, Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol as well as the romantic dramatic Precious. Growing up in Los Angeles with a middle-class mother, she had lots of dreams. Her mother loved films and was able to instill the love of movies in the young girl. Paula participated in co-curricular school activities, and she was particularly interested in the drama. Paula was a fantastic actress and enjoyed performing with her fellow students. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School staged a variety of plays, and the actress decided that acting was her chosen career. She attended the University of Southern California in an intensive summer course and enjoyed her stint. She won an assignment for PBS to make documentaries for 3 months. When she was able to complete the assignment well, she was able to begin being an assistant in television documentary production. Her next step was to produce documentaries. Even though she loved the work, she wanted to become an actor. Her acting career began with an unimportant role with Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. In the years since, she's appeared in many popular movies as well as TV shows.
